What with things slowing down for the summer I just thought I would resurrect my study of sopccer line moves. In the past I have used tip-ex.com and will continue to do so this year. Last year I was only up 4.00 units after being up 80 units. I decided to give it another try.

This is an interesting time to study the game quantum when most of us are taking a break. Here are a few sites i find useful

http://www.oddschecker.com
http://www.soccerway.com
http://web.macauslot.com/soccer/pdf/file/todayodds_en.html
http://www.sfstats.net/
http://wh-stats.football365.com/intnl/index.html

Thanks Antonioli. I really like sftstats.net and have looked at soccerway for league schedules. I haven't seen the others. I'll be sure to check them out.

I forgot that http://asianodds.org is another good site for line moves.

I figure it's a slow time for football. I like the Scandinavian leagues too and as you know they are starting up this time of year.

There are many leagues still play on during the summer, The J league, MLS, Swedish and Norweigen, but i have often struggled to cap those games due to lack of informations. So this is the period i just relax and read the news about transfers and arrests of the players, and in a month time, the preseason will start again. Quantum mate, i really appreciate you call our game football, that means a lot. :toast:

QL, does Nordic Bet take bets from americans?

MrCleo:

NordicBet does not take bets from Americans. I use a Canadian account set up through my friend in Edmonton and make bets from his computer remotely.

"arrests of players". I like that.

I figure this time of the year doesn't have so many leagues so I can concentrate on a few. I have a tendency to get too spread out during other times of the year.

On a related note to line moves, I noticed that Sundsvall moved against Landskrona in the Swedish Superettan league. Sundsvall was the favorite and won 2-0. It's tricky finding line moves on favorites since people are naturally going to bet on the favorite anyway causing the line to move that way. Finding which line moves are valid on favorites is going to be part of this experiment.

05-31-07:
Sweden - Superettan
Falkenbergs FF +140 over IK Sirius FK NordicBet
The line for Falkenbergs is dropping due to the fact that Sirius has a lot of absent players.

One from this league that I kind of like is Jönköpings Södra over Häcken although this one has the line moving toward Häcken so I won't count this. The reason I like this is because Jönköpings Södra has won 3 in a row on the road. The bet for Jönköpings Södra is +520 at NordicBet. I would also factor in the draw at +303 at 5dimes if I were to bet this.

I like the fact that you are looking at Moneyline quantum, people have always overlooked the value of ML in sports, soccer is no difference. I truely believe if one likes a dog that is +0.5 or +1 in Asian Handicap would be better off taking the Draw in a long run.

I just dont have enough time to dig deep and get the feeling that I'm up against too many sharp people. There's that many experts out there on the front Divisions in any Country that most lines are critical mass in no time. Years ago in the business Ladbrokes were renowned for being the sharpest Book for Football and recently a Friend confirmed they still have to be respected when they offer the best price on a Team. Victor chandler is also known to accomodate some live wire football judges, so if both concur on a game, its usually worth noting.:103631605

Quantum,

Are you following libertadores?

Only as a sidelight. I didn't see any line movement there. I was thinking about taking Boca Juniors but since I hadn't followed them since last year I just decided to watch the scores. I'm glad I layed off as Cucuta won 3-1.

I keep extensive records of all my bets in an Excel spreadsheet. I think I will look at those matches where I bet the underdog and find if there is much of a difference taking the Draw.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the input Winbet. I will definitely look at both books.

I remember you telling Joey that the EPL has some of the best sharps in the world so I have not pursued that league in quite a while.

I was thinking perhaps the Scandinavian countries didn't have as many sharps at the books and therefore would be worthwhile to follow.

I just wanted to point out that Häcken won earlier on Thursday in the Swedish Superettan League. I had not bet them but the line moved toward them as I mentioned in post #10 of this thread.

06-01-07:
Republic of Ireland, Eirecom Premier League
FC Bohemians +125 over Sligo Eurobet
Bohemians a much better team is the reason I'm thinking the line is moving toward them. Sligo has a lackluster home record. FCB is toward the top of the league.

Its probably worth bearing in mind the Books get their card marked very cheaply on obscure leagues by way of betting on the Exchanges where there's enough geeks to form a reasonable line but without doubt divisions like the lower Scottish leagues Etc are worth investigating. :103631605

I've heard you say that the exchanges are where some good betting lies. I'm getting an idea in my head that perhaps looking at the sharp lines of Ladbrokes and Victor Chandler as you mentioned above and applying those prices to the exchanges to beat the geeks would be a worthwhile endeavour.

Thanks winbet.
